Reserves/ Resources assessment
Probabilistic calculations of reserve and resource volumes are based on user-defined parameters, such as area, porosity, recovery factor, and others. Users can set a full range of possible values for each input parameter.
Risk assessment
In this section, the user calculates the likelihood that a potential accumulation will lead to the discovery of an oil or gas field. Users can set risk factor values as fixed values or as probabilistic ranges.
Libraries
For each volumetric parameter, users can apply statistical libraries available for analog formations and fields. These libraries contain statistical distributions of reservoir properties specific to various reservoirs and formations from different regions. This feature can significantly save time during analysis.
Risk Guidelines
A system of formalized guidelines can be applied for the proper selection of risk factors, such as trap, seal, source rock, and others. The current version of the guidelines is based on the publication by Milkov (2015). This feature can help reduce ambiguities in the definition of risk factors and save time during analysis.
Aggregation of units (reservoirs, segments, etc.)
This module enables combining volumes and risks of individual reservoirs or segments into unified higher-level units, such as fields or prospects. This functionality includes a new feature: the Risk Dependency Matrix. This matrix enables visualization of risk factors for all units (or segments) and allows for the setup of risk dependency models between them.
